About Halton Gardens
Designing climate-resilient gardens that protect your home — and the planet
Halton Gardens is a climate-conscious garden design company specializing in sustainable landscapes that prioritize native plants and environmental resilience. We work with Halton homeowners to design and implement outdoor spaces that not only enhance curb appeal but also actively support our local ecosystem. With customized consultations, we provide science-backed strategies to help homeowners reduce flooding risks, mitigate extreme heat, and promote biodiversity right in their own backyards.
Our services include in-person garden audits, detailed native plant garden designs, and ongoing guidance for garden installation and maintenance. We also offer community events and workshops to educate and empower residents on climate-resilient gardening practices. Whether you’re looking to make a small change or completely transform your yard, we provide expert support every step of the way to ensure long-term success.
In addition to creating climate-resilient gardens, we also offer Therapeutic Horticulture — supporting wellness through plant and plant-related activities that reduce stress, improve physical and emotional health, and foster a connection to the environment.
What sets Halton Gardens apart is our deep knowledge of native species that thrive in Halton region and our commitment to affordability and accessibility. With over 20 years of experience in sustainable landscape design and a strong community network, Halton Gardens will be your partner in creating climate-ready, beautiful outdoor spaces that benefit both people and the planet.
For Halton homeowners who want to use their property to reduce climate change impacts, increase biodiversity, and increase their property value, Halton Gardens is the best choice for all your garden design needs.
About The Founder
Andrea Rowe, Chief Plant Lover
Halton Gardens is owned and operated by Andrea Rowe, a long-time Halton resident with over 25 years of experience in the community. With a background in corporate sales and a strong network built through years of local engagement, Andrea brings a unique blend of business acumen, technical skill, and environmental passion to her work. Determined to create a healthier environment for her two young children, she chose to pivot her career toward climate-conscious garden design. Volunteering in local schools sparked her interest in grassroots environmental action, eventually leading her to work with local non-profit organizations, helping schools, faith-based organizations, and homeowners across Halton to implement nature-based solutions for climate resilience.
Andrea has built strong working relationships across the public and non-profit sectors, including with local governments, community foundations, and academic institutions. Known for being knowledgeable, trusted, and deeply connected, Andrea brings a passionate, community-driven approach to every project — creating outdoor spaces that are as beneficial to the environment as they are enjoyable for people.
